Holy Father Patrick, pray for us

« on: November 17, 2010, 08:26:12 AM »

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

May we pause and give thanks to God for the wonderful events within the
Western Rite over the last few days.

1.  The reception into the Russian Church Abroad of Archbishop Anthony with
his clergy and 10 parishes

2.  The announcement by Fr Michael (Wood) of the construction commencing in
the New Year of a major Western Rite monastery complex

3.  The announcement, also by Fr Michael,  of a hermitage to be built in New
Mexico

4.  The announcement of the reception of Fr Patrick Lowery and Saint
Patrick's chapel in Michigan

5.  The reception of Fr Allyne Lev Smith in Des Moines.

For these things let us praise God.

Hierom. Ambrose

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Let us rejoice indeed!

2.  The announcement by Fr Michael (Wood) of the construction commencing in
the New Year of a major Western Rite monastery complex

3.  The announcement, also by Fr Michael,  of a hermitage to be built in New
Mexico

As far as I understand the situation, the hermitage will be a part of the complex.

5.  The reception of Fr Allyne Lev Smith in Des Moines.
