In an interview with Greek television, reprinted by the Interfax news service, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk dealt with the talks (in Rhodes) between Orthodox and Roman Catholic church officials, as well as the state of affairs in society between Christians and non-Christian faiths.

From the article:
Quote
Christianity was not created only for private use. Christianity was created by Jesus Christ himself so that it can be felt in the public sphere. The Christian Church has a missionary imperative to go and teach the people and to baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And for this mission it needs the public arena.
