my grandmother is now 80 years old.  she is now in a nursing home after a fall and a stroke which rendered her bed-ridden.  she keeps asking me for her shoes, I ask her why, and she says that she has to get to her car to go home and make Kolbasi and cole slaw, and invites me to have some.

she wants to go home so badly.

my dad consulted a mystic, and the "angels" or "spirits" or the little voices in her head told her, and she told him, that my grandmother has, at most, 2 months left.

please pray for her, that her death will not be painful in any way.

Bless her heart, she sounds like a wonderful and loving grandma to you!

May the Lord bless her and give her peace and rest.  And may He bless your family as well.

thanks!  she is, and if it werent for her, I probably wouldn't be an Orthodox Christian (aw, now I feel like sharing)

my grandmother was a devout Roman Catholic.  my mother is against everything about the Roman Catholic Church.  this caused too much arguing when I was little.  my grandma would take me to mass, and secretly I loved it.  I loved it so much that I would beg my mom if I could sleep over to make mass with her.  it was this that first exposed me to faith of any kind.  my curiosity grew and grew, and when I was 13, I started going to mass reguarly with my dad.  I was open to Christianity.  I would have turned down my friend's invitation to her Orthodox Church in less that a second, if it hadn't been for my grandmother first exposing me to Church.

gosh, I remember being sent home with a rosary (boy, did that anger my mother!), and even wearing a long black towel (5-year-old version of a cassok) and putting my hand up and "blessing" my sister.

good times....I'll really miss her! Cry

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

Poor lady. How lovely that she is still wanting to look after you, though.

God be with her and comfort her.
