Dear Brethern,

Tomorrow marks 1 year that my beloved mother, Helen, fell asleep in the Lord. Please remember her in your prayers if possible.

With much love and thanks,

Memory Eternal.  That first anniversary is very difficult.  Is her grave anywhere near where you live so that you could visit her?  I found that this was very helpful.
