+Peace and grace

I pray you are all benefitting from this time of fasting.

I am posting this message that I got from a prominent Copt in Egypt, this very morning.

Please do not turn this into a Dio/Mia/Mono- physite war, as it is just a prayer request. Regardless of how you choose to view the Coptic Orthodox Church, if you have Christian love in your heart you should be willing to pray for anyone. This is a matter of urgency, and His Holiness Pope Shenouda III has instructed us how we should behave (in Arabic, and attached).

"Please send this mail and tell every Christian you know. It's true and
serious. The identified shops so far are Ragab Son's supermarket, El Tawheed
Wel Nour and El Salam Shoping Center, do the following with every girl or
woman they feel is Christian. Tell her congratulation you won a gift but you
should first sign on papers to receive the gift. In the middle there is a
paper of declaration of Islam and she signs without knowing. They say that
she is a thief and they take her in an upper room they hit her, rape her and
video her and force her to marry one of them and declare her Islam, or if
she succeed not to sign she will suffer from sever depression even if her
family accept the situation. Also in cloth shops when she goes to try a
cloth there is a video and they force her to sign or send it to her parents.
They even accept Christian girls in jobs so as to do the same. Father
Ibrahim in Anba Boula church in Ard El Golf  Abouna went to the authorities
and they said they cannot do anything ..so he anounced this in church and
everyone should know!!!there is evidence of these harassments so it is not a
hoax people. These activities are targeted at Christians in specific and so
we should be aware of it and WARN OTHERS."

Please take the time to remember to pray.

"Pray for the peace of the One, Holy, catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church of God..."

Prayers for the long-suffering Coptic Orthodox in Egypt.

I pray for my brothers and sisters everyday, that nobody should get lost to the devil.

My unworthy prayers.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I will pray for those Christians suffering in Islamic countries, such as egypt. It is truly sad to see the way Christians are treated in areas so close to where our Lord died and rose from the dead. This truly an age of martyrs, those who are treated in such a way will find their reward in the Lord, their greates defense.

I pray daily for the daughters of the Coptic Orthodox Church, which has never laid down her cross.

And I echo Ania's sentiment  :cwm23:

I am a man of peace, but I would sign right on the dotted line and start training for a war which would kick in the teeth of Islam and liberate the Christians suffering under her yolk.

The "Muslim Brotherhood" of Egypt is like the Ku Klux Klan, and the supposedly secular government is like the law enforcement of the old south who always looks the other way or even helps these devils in flesh along.

My sins run out behind me and I do not see them, but today I am coming to judge the errors of another.

Yes, it rather puts the rhetoric of United about how wonderful Islam truly is into perspective doesn't it? May the Theotokos protect the Christian girls and women of Egypt!

Added to my prayer list.

An old timer is a man who's had a lot of interesting experiences -- some of them true.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
