Kursk Icon of the Mother of God visits Michigan church
« on: October 21, 2010, 08:37:23 PM »
On Wednesday, October 20, the people of St. Elias Orthodox Church, in Battle Creek, Michigan, were blessed with a visit from the Kursk Icon of the Mother of God. The icon is over 700 years old and is one of the most storied in the Russian church.

He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.

How wonderful!

I was blessed to venerate it last December when it was at All Saints of North America in Middlebrook, VA. It is truly a blessing to venerate such a holy object that Our Lord has blessed and humbling, too, that very many Saints have venerated the same icon. :)
