Viewing "new replies" before posting

Lately, as I've been preparing a reply to a post, and been about to post it, I get the usual message: Warning! xnumber replies you may want to review....(not exact as you know, but you know the one I mean). But those new replies don't appear for me to read. They used to do so when I clicked on "Preview", but not now. Is this a general problem, or my system?
