President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople, on October 3. According to the article, the issues to be discussed included "the state of relations between the authorities and the Orthodox Church in Belarus, of the interconfessional situation in our country and and of the uniqueness and beauty of Belarusian nature."
