Prayers for Cap'n Bobby
« on: March 10, 2004, 07:29:36 PM »
Our administrator Robert (aka Bobby) found out today at work that 3,000 workers in his company will be laid off at the end of 2004...he will most likely be among them. He's worked for UL for four years now, on and off full-time, and so the news has come as somewhat of a shock to him. He's very strong, and he's taking it well, but I can tell that it has affected him a lot - and me by extension. I have faith that he will bounce back, but I humbly ask that anyone who can spare prayers please pray for him, that this does not take too much of a toll on his spirit.

Thank you everyone, and you will all be in our prayers.

I am praying for the good Cap'n.

May God help and bless you both.

will pray for you also.  the good aspect seems to be that the end of 2004 is a long way away, hopefully enough time to find another job.

I'll say a prayer or two for the Capitan, but let him know I'm not sharing my rum.

Our administrator Robert (aka Bobby) found out today at work that 3,000 workers in his company will be given an alternative employment opportunity at the end of 2004...he will most likely be among them.
Been there, done that. I know how it feels. At least they are being given plenty of advance warning though I dare say moral in the company will not be at a high over the remaining months. You are in my prayers Cap'n.

John.
