Truth, Justice, and the American Way

« on: September 20, 2010, 04:27:48 PM »

Hey guys, I would really appreciate your prayers. I am feeling really overwhelmed. This year my schedule look like this:
1. Pre AP Algebra II (enriched)
2. Pre Ap Algebra II (enriched
3. Algebra I (regular)
4. Math Lab (remedial)
5. Online Algebra I (lab setting)
6. Online Geometry (lab setting)
As you can see, within my schedule of six classes, I have five different topics to prepare to teach everyday. This is taking a great deal more time than you would think. Most teachers are preparing for one to two classes a day. On top of this I am a PLC (professional learning community) leader, which is like a step away from leader of a department, I am on the ELL (English Language Learners) team, and I teach credit recovery classes after school twice a week in order to earn a good wage. Finally, this is the year for me to produce a portfolio to move up a level as teacher and get a raise.

With all of this going on, I just feel like I am overwhelmed and I can't even imagine what would happen if something else got added to my plate. Please pray for me that I have fortitude and perseverance.

Just out of curiosity, what is "AP?"

Besides, that LORD have mercy and give this one wisdom.

Stands for "Advanced Placement".

It's supposed to be elevating a high school course to a college level for those of accelerated abilities.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
