Don't worry. Fortunately, God in His infinite mercy has given to us Joel Osteen in these last days to separate the chaff from the wheat that we may discard the poor and humble and recognize that we have all been called to a McMansion and a Lexus. If it were not so, I would have told you.
Another gem from the esteemed Joel Osteen.
Osteen commented, "I think there's a group that says, 'Well, to be a Christian, to be a real believer you've got to be poor, you've got to be humble.' I don't see that.
So everything I know as a Copt is a lie?
You don't have to be poor per-say, (we have princes that are saints) but the proper use of wealth, or the joyfulness while lacking it, is very important.
"Blessed are the meek..." "Blessed are the poor in spirit..."
^^^^PHEW!!! I almost thought myself lower than others!! Another close save!
...On a more serious note, I made a deal with my dad that if I write a Biblically supported refutation letter to Joel Osteen that my priest approves of, he'll stop buying Osteen's garbage(not my dad's wording).
He hasn't bought anything in years but he owns a lot of his old books and CD's.
