There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding hiding emails.

If you select (in your profile) to have your email hidden from others, when you look at your profile you will still see it, but it will be written in italicized characters.  This email is hidden from all users except yourself and the Admins/GMs/Mods.  If your email appears in plain characters (i.e. not italicized), then it is visible to all.
