Is there a Coptic, or Jacobite, or Indian Orthodox, or Armenian, or Ethiopian, or Eritrean?

Which state are you in?

Welcome to the forum!

If you are Syriac Orthodox there is no Syriac Orthodox Church near you, but there is a nearby Armenian Church, I would definitely go to the Armenian Church.  Introduce yourself to the priest and tell him your situation.  I'm sure he will welcome you.   :)

Why has this been moved out of convert issues? It seems to be an issue for a convert?

I think the moderator who moved it assumed that it would be more visible to other OO's here, so we could answer his question.  In my opinion it was not out of place in the Convert Section, but I guess the other moderator thought our new poster would be better served here.   :)

There is also a Coptic Church there.

In fact, according to the website, there's an Egyptian festival today and tomorrow.  Perfect first visit.

Wow!  I just looked at it.  You can take your picture with King Tut at the festival!

The Armenians need to do something like that:  Pictures with King Dickran.    ;D

I drove by one of those "Egyptian fests" at the Coptic church in Norristown, PA, with the giant King Tut bean-bag toss and everything. It was a riot!

Well this isn't a festival, but an Armenian youth camp just put out a pretty cute video:

OK, sorry for the tangent.   :)  I guess we should get back on topic now.

Jwilliams:

I gather you are not actually in St. Paul, but is it a very far drive from you?  It seems you have a choice of a couple of good churches there if it's a reasonable driving distance.
