My dear wife and my dear parish
« on: August 16, 2010, 12:14:55 PM »
Please forgive me for being weak in my prayers for you.

Please pray for my wife and I as we're going through difficulties of a long-term medical recovery with many connected and unconnected complications.
We are also dealing with complicated pastoral issues that as we pray and try to mend are only becoming more complicated, confusing and unsure.

God has been very merciful, each time it ramps up we end up with a renewed sense of peace and faith in His providence.  At the same time, we are quite adrift.

Also a for couple in our parish who have just experience a miscarriage.

Lord, have mercy!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

I know things are difficult for so many of you and it's weak to keep asking, but please pray for us.

It feels like we're falling apart.
