Goodbye!
« on: February 19, 2004, 12:24:23 AM »
There comes a time in life where you must inevitably say your goodbyes and move on to bigger and better things.

The past year and a half here at OC.net has been quite the blast and quite the journey.  However I have been negligent the past month or so with OC.net, being rather passive as both a poster and as an administrator. Therefore, I'm going to be resigning my position here and probably will be on very rarely.

I will continue to be a benefactor towards OC.net in every way possible, but as far as my community involvement goes I will not be present like I used to.  I enjoyed the time I had here and I look upon it fondly. Furthermore, I have been given the best gift one could ever receive from OC.net, one that I am forever grateful for and one that I will cherish and love forever.

So in conclusion, I ask that you keep me in your prayers and stay in contact.

Respectfully yours,
Bobby

The best to you always, Bobby. May you continue your journey east.

You will be missed, Bobby.

Why leave the site, though?

I'm not saying it's the wrong thing to do; I'm just wondering what your reasons are.

Your wit and humour will be sorely missed, Cap'n.  Hope we can find another redoc retsam as good as you to guide us through all those uncharted waters.

God Bless you, and Many Years!

Hope to encounter you here at OCNet in the future as a civilian.

Gee whiz,

Just got in from my 22 day journey from Texas & back and this, I'll miss you Capitan & God's speed and blessings in what ever you decide.

good luck.  it's my opinion that on-line forums can be as harmful as they are helpful -- i definitely like to take week or two week (or longer) hiatuses from time to time.  I think God wants us to interact with people on a personal level, not through impersonal computer forums.

They key is to not take most things posted as fact and to understand that you are interfacing with other idiots just like yourself (at least in my case)  ;D

Robert, based on our past correspondence, my only guess is that your departure and engagement in 'bigger and better things' can only involve a planned insurrection against Sierra in a heroic attempt to recover the sovereignty taken away from adventure-gamer recusants over the P.C. game software industry.

Godspeed, Braveheart.
