With the other thread about hideous vestments, I thought it would be cool if some of you posted some standard vestments from the various Oriental churches: Malankara, Ethiopian, Coptic, Armenian, Syriac, et cetera.  I would love to see the different 'styles' that have come into use over the centuries.

I'll try to look for something that really shows and explains the different vestments in the Armenian Church.  In the meantime, you can see the vestments of a bishop and priest in this ordination video:

You can also look at this thread for some info on Ethiopian vestments:

You can read about and see photos of Syriac Orthodox Church at:
http://sor.cua.edu/Vestments/index.html

The Malankara Church also uses the exact same vestments.

I haven't found anything more on the vestments of the Armenian Church.  I kind of wish someone in our Church would put up a page like the Syriac Orthodox Church did, and which dhinuus linked:

http://sor.cua.edu/Vestments/index.html

It would be kind of cool if all the Churches did that.

Stashko's comments about Syriac Orthodox vestments were moved to the private forum:
