Asking your forgiveness
« on: August 10, 2010, 08:57:07 PM »
Dear folks,

I am not sure I am posting this to the right section, but anyway...

Please forgive me if I insulted you or hurt you or was in any way disrespectful or snotty to you in my recent posts to I know it's not an excuse, but I had some pretty serious stresses related to my recent travel to Ukraine: my mother-in-law's fatal illness, my mother's senescence, my astonishment at Ukraine's mainstream media (including messages from clergy!) being in sharp contrast to what I have been learning about the uniqueness of the Orthodox faith, etc. All that is aggravated by my daughter's and my son-in-law's stubborn militant Atheism, and my daughter's steady drift away from my wife and me towards our son-in-law's family, which is large and loud and very American and 200% militant Atheist...

Nothing is, again, an exuce if I treated you shabbily, but maybe this will be a kind of "mitigating circumstances." Please forgive and please pray for my family and myself.

Love never fails.

I've never been hurt or offended by you, George, but I forgive you for that!  :D

I hope you start to feel better soon!  I pray that the Lord will strengthen you and bless your family!

You've not offended me, either!

George, we love you!

Lord, have mercy on Heorhij's family, aid them, strengthen them, and lead them to Orthodoxy...please!

You haven't offended me brother. I will pray for you in these difficult times. It seems you are in the midst of many struggles, which is proof of your Christian faith. May Our Lord grant you peace and grace as you continue to struggle for Him.

I can sympathize with you in regards to the militant atheism.  It can be maddening.  God be with you through your struggles.

These boards bring out the worst in all of us from time to time ... none of us is immune.  God bless you and yours.

Lord have mercy!  There has been a number of crosses you have been bearing.
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

You've never offended me, brother, but you'll be in my prayers.
