On the Faith page below Quotations: retired Anglican bishop Edwin Barnes refutes 'inclusive language'.

New today - bell sound on the Orthodoxy page. I tried to find a Russian one but couldn't find a recording good enough.

Josaphat,
What a gold mine of a site. Thanks! I downloaded some bells but decided to put a choral '-æ-+-¦-+-Ç-+-¦-+-å-¦ -ö-¦-¦-+, -Ç-¦-¦-â-¦-ü-Å' on the Orthodoxy page.

You might want to list that the Bogoroditse Devo that you have on your site is the music of Deacon Z. Trubachov.

Josaphat, Done! And the Rostov festive bells now play on my Fr Seraphim (Rose) page. The simple bell sound formerly on the Orthodoxy page is now on the Q&A page, which you may notice has a slightly different URL now. And the Trubachyov music also plays on the byzantinized Rosary page, which also has the luminous mysteries added to it.

Hey Serge,
Is the link to the Arab Bishops on the Iraq war going to work any time soon?
p.s. that “microcosm of a Marxist apartment” was funny. It actually reminds me of people I was an undergraduate with.
God Bless

I may be blind, but I cannot seem to find this link on your page Serge. BTW, a nice site you have.

Thanks. It's the top link in the scrolling headlines on the right.

Serge,
Why the change to scrolling headlines? I saw that for the first time today, and was surprised. I don't know what the majority of your readers prefers, but I personally find the scrolling headlines kind of annoying because when you want to click on something, the scrolling doesn't stop, and what I clicked on doesn't always load. Any way you could get it so that they scroll, but stop when the mouse arrow is in the area?

I changed it so I would have to adjust the page's layout every time I added or removed links. Sorry about the problems. If I learn how to stop the scrolling when you click a story, I'll make that change.

While I love http://www.OldWorldRus.com, I have to say that I hate the scrolling headlines. If I go there to reference a story at the end of the list, instead of scrolling myself, I have to wait minutes for it to appear. Also, my default browser Mozilla 1.2 (The Base engine to Netscape 7.x) freezes hard on it. Today I downloaded the latest version of Opera and after a minute the scroll section still doesn't work. I also tried it in another popular browser for Mac OS X called OmniWeb and the scrolling headlines actually cover other parts of the site. So in order to see Old World Rus I am forced to launch Internet Explorer. And wait if I want something towards the bottom. I applaud you for innovating Serge, but personally I just don't like the new scrolling headlines.

You already told me about those problems, for which thanks, Nik.
Good thing most people use IE anyway.

Serge, Yeah I'd told you most of them, but since people were chiming in on their opinions I figured I would chime in as well. Plus I just tried the newest versions of Mozilla & Opera and for the first time, OmniWeb just to reply here. Thought you'd want to know the results since the old version of Opera worked on it. God Bless!

More news: the Orthodoxy page is restored after being partly wiped out (probably owing to a glitch using my dialup at home) and Q&A has a newer URL: here.
