I've been listening to the AFR music channel and I love the chants and hymns and psalms. Can anyone suggest cd's that I could put on my iPod to listen to at work? My computer is blocked from AFR (as well as most everything else!) and I'd love to listen to this soothing music while at work.

Thanks.

PATHS OF THE HOLY MOUNTAIN

The firing Love,born in Christ,
burst into flames in a young heart.
A youth clever,chosen by God,
goes to the place of tranquility,

to find the pearl valuable,
to carry the light to the universe,
to bring light to the darkness by light bearing torches.

Sweet prayer calms the tempests,
And in silence transforms the heart.
Cold cave is not frightening
when the human soul a tabernacle of God.

Paths of the Holy Mountain lead by efforts
human life to the Heavenly Kingdom,
a peaceful Harbour of eternally lasting day.

Earthly angel,a heavenly man
Takes to Christ all people
to re-establish God`s image
flawed by the mud heathenry.

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God.
From the heights of tranquility the Glory comes,
To offer to God the imperal Orthodox people.

(Written and composed by priest Arsenije Arsenijević)
From album Not of this World by Pirg

If you like Byzantine chant, I can recommend any and all of the CDs of the Boston Byzantine Choir (an aunt and uncle of the director visited our mission this morning while on their 50th wedding anniversary honeymoon). I know you can get them at http://www.liturgica.com. That website does a good job of explaining different chants and other info. They have quite a large range of products.

Thank you for the suggestion! I found a free download of the Boston Byzantine Choir at Pepperdine University on iTunes! 30 Tracks!
