I recently read that only Eastern Orthodox and Eastern-Rite Catholics do crownings during weddings.  That statement made me wonder about Oriental Orthodox practice.  Do you (or they) do crownings during weddings?

In the Armenian Church something called a "narod" is used.  This is discussed a little in posts 18-22 in this thread:

It is interesting , I saw a marriage photo from the 1940's where a crown was used for the bride and groom instead of chains as used today.  So I wonder the current practice is very old. 

Although one instance just tells us very little.  Probably will have to ask my grandma  Smiley
