(Dateline: OC.net Palace) As the puffs of white smoke playfully danced their way out of the chimney of the OC.net Palace/Brewpub/Bowling Alley, the people in the courtyard became perplexed as to the matter at hand.  The questionings of their hearts were answered when Fr. Chris and the GMs proceeded out to the balcony with two men, proclaiming:

"We are pleased to announce the selection of a new moderator for OC.net, and the movement of another.  Schultz has been selected to fill the vacancy as the moderator of the Orthodox-Catholic Discussion subforum, drawing upon his extensive knowledge of both faiths to help maintain peace in the Orth-Cath realm.  And NorthernPines has been elected to fill the new vacancy as the moderator of the Free-For-All: Religious Topics subforum, drawing upon his own Orthodox background and his willingness to help maintain the peace in the lands of great debate.  We affirm their selection: AXIOI!"

And the crowd erupted in their customary cry of "AXIOI!  AXIOI!  AXIOI!"
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

Great choices.
As a result of a thousand million years of evolution, the universe is becoming conscious of itself, able to understand something of its past history and its possible future.

AXIOI!

AXIOI! Welcome, NorthernPines, and thank you, Schultz, for your continued good work.
