anyone know what "translation of relics" means?  On Tuesday, we celebrated the translation of the relics of St. John Chrysostom, and today we celebrate the translation of the relics of St. Ignatius.  Does this mean that their relics were moved somewhere else?

That's exactly what it means, although with regard to the two feasts you mention, I don't know where the relics were transferred to.  My guess re: Saint Ignatios is that they were moved from Rome to Antioch, but I could be wrong.
