Friend's Baptism
« on: May 26, 2010, 11:50:06 AM »
Just heard a friend in Sydney is to be baptised into the Coptic Orthodox Church this Saturday.

Please pray for this one.

Also, please pray for a very devout friend who has also suffered much (former Anglican) in Queensland who is in the process of converting. Currently at the stage of realising that Orthodoxy is best yet not yet entirely willing to accept The Church's view about Protestants due to family connections.

Thank you and remember me please,

Lord, have mercy!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord, have mercy.  Any updates on your much-suffering other friend?
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6
