Ok, I was offered a job today. It's not in my career field (I'm a Latin/Greek teacher by trade) and finding a teaching job in that particular field is not looking promising right now (same as last year).  The pay is not good either and though the hours are fine, it would require me to work some Saturdays though I would still be able to get off to chant Great Vespers.  I think it may well be boring and tedious, but, at the same time, money is money and I can't keep draining my savings.  I have to get back to this guy by tomorrow.  Prayers AND advice would be great.  Thanks.

Lord, have mercy!

Hard to advise, maybe take the job but keep looking for another one, closer to your interests?

May the Lord give you wisdom and strength.

+Lord have mercy.

Ask your priest if you should accept the offer. If he says not to then perhaps God has something better planned for you.

Take what you can get...and keep looking for the perfect job.
You can always quit this one.

Well, here's the update.  I was formally offered the job today and I have taken it. i will still continue to pursue opportunities in my career field but at least this will give me some money and some security for awhile.  Thanks for your prayers and advice.

I second that.
