St. Tikhon's Press is reprinting this prayer book from the 50's. I wonder if anyone here has it or is familiar with it; specifically what its contents are and how it compares with other prayer books like the Jordanville book or the Old Orthodox Prayer Book. Thanks!

I have the same question. I think it's Slavonic-English, and the Slavonic, unlike the Old Rite book, is probably in the new orthography.

I'm going up to St. Tikhon's for the pilgrimage at the end of May and definitely plan to have a look-see at this while there.  Hopefully someone can offer some insight before then, but I'll definitely report back my findings when I get back.

SVIT - is it an abbreviation? I am asking because "svit" is a Ukrainian world, it means "the world."

From OrthodoxWiki about SVIT prayerbook:

Quote
St. Tikhon's Orthodox Prayer book (Slavonic/English Edition): This prayer book, sometimes called the "SVIT prayer book" after its original publisher, is a bilingual edition comparable to the Jordanville Prayer Book, except it uses an obsolete English translation from the first edition produced in 1959.

Are you thinking of the Svitlo publishing house?
