Asking for prayers for our Priest, Fr. Andrew and his family.

His dad has had struggles with his health for a while and this last Fall they found that his dad has a very rare illness. At first they said they couldn't treat it and he would die within weeks/months. Then after the family consulted Mayo Clinic, they discovered it could be treated, but he had to be strengthened with a pacemaker.
This last week his mother & father were headed up to Mayo Clinic for the pacemaker surgery, when they were halfway there they got a call and had to turn back because it turns out his father has cancer.

On top of all of this, this Sunday before Liturgy began (between Matins & Liturgy), Father Andrew got a call; sadly, his grandmother had slipped into a coma and only had a few hours to live.

Also, last Fall when Archbishop Job died, it hit our whole Parish especially hard, including Fr. Andrew who was especially close to him...

Fr. Andrew and his family have been struggling with this for months now and I pray that things get better soon!
Fr. Andrew seems to be handling it well, but it's still difficult...
Lord Have Mercy!

Lord, have mercy!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord, have mercy!  Comfort those who mourn!

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. -- Douglas Adams
