Possible Foot Amputation
« on: April 29, 2010, 09:33:44 PM »
Could you please pray for my grandmother, Marian.  She has diabetes, is in her 80's, and is having foot problems.  She needs to go to a specialist.  There has been talk that she may need her one foot, and possibly both, amputated, since this has happened with at least one other member in the family with diabetes.  Thanks.

Lord, have mercy!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

How lovely on the mountains are those feet who bring good news to me...

The joyful news of Christ Risen, which sets the captive foot free...

How joyful is the Messenger whose heart runs before him to sing..

Christ is Risen!  O Happy Feet, let our feet dance together in joyful refrain...
     Again and again I say again... Christ is Risen Indeed!

How lovely on the mountain are those feet who have in your heart brought the good news to thee...

This poem is now my prayer...

Lord have Mercy.

Sorry for the poetry...its Pascha, let us together believe.

John
Courteous is my name,
and I have always aimed to live up to it.
Grace is also my name,
but when things go wrong
its Courteous whom I blame;
but its Grace who sees me through it.

Lord, have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord, have mercy.
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

Lord have mercy.  Update?
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

Thank you for my prayers.

My grandmother was scheduled to have an operation on her foot/leg today, but she decided not to go through with it.  Her heart is working only at 25% capacity, and the surgery may have killed her.  However, her leg is still 100% blocked (very little if any blood circulating) and if her foot gets infected, she likely will have to have it amputated.  So, if you could pray that everything works out, that would be great.  Thanks.
