Christ is Risen!!!
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a reliable translation of the Holy Rule of St Benedict.

St. John of Kronstadt Press also has a book with the Rule, the Life, and the Service to St. Benedict.

I thought he was a Catholic saint? Or is this pre-schism, or...?

Someone explain for the newbie, please. Smiley

St Benedict of Nursia is a pre-schism saint. Late 5th-mid 6th century.

As LBK already wrote, St Benedict is pre-schism. There is even a Benedictine Orthodox Monastery in Canada (http://christminster.org).

Christ is Risen!

The monastery runs an oblate programme.  The sister with the monks in the photo is Sister Sophia and she is a Benedictine oblate of Christminster monastery.

I've been to Christminster! The fathers there are very nice.
