Does the Orthodox Church have any patron saints of gardening? I've finally got around to making my dream garden a reality and have a space set aside for an outdoor icon shrine in between the two main beds and am now looking for one to put in there (once I make it, of course). Any suggestions?
St. Ansovinus is listed as the patron saint of gardeners on Wikipedia. He is also listed as a Saint at Orthodox England, sans reference to gardening.
"Ansovinus March 13
+ 840. Born in Camerino in Italy, after living as a hermit at Castel Raimondo near Torcello, he became bishop of his native town. He accepted the office on condition that his see should be exempt from the service of recruiting soldiers, then imposed on most bishops."
