A very interesting page, and full of good resources.  Thank you, Dismas.

A question.  At work I have a high speed connection so watching a streaming video is rather easy.  However, I don't have time at work to be watching "Holy Cross Live," or some of the other longer programs.  Is there software that allows you to capture streaming video into a file (it would probably be rather large, I know) which could then be copied to a cd and taken home?  At home I only have a dial-up service 56 K connection.   Streaming video just takes far too long.

Did you include the online courses from ISOS - INTERNET SCHOOL OF ORTHODOX STUDIES?  http://www.goarch.org/en/multimedia/live/isos/  Perhaps you did, but I didn't notice them in the short time I was searching around the page.

In case anyone is interested, I answered my own question by doing some Internet research.  Decided to give Polderbits a try.  You can find it at http://www.polderbits.com/.  Allows you to record almost anything and produce a wave or mp3 file.  Looks promising.

I have some cassettes at home of personal recordings for various things, and have decided to record them to mp3s, thus making unnecessary the story of cassettes.   Grin

I think DirectCD does what you want, but I do not have it or tried it.
My experience is that with XP, I  have to download to my hard drive and then copy to my RW-CD. If you download at work using Media Player, save the file to your hard drive, then move it to your RW-CD.

Hope that helps.

I have updated my site using frames so it is easier to maintain. Visit the Music page, and the new Video/Tape Page. There are tons of good links to video and tape resources on the Video/Tape Page link.

Most resently, I have begun to uploaded the A.C.O.R.N tapes.

Also featuring Frank Schaefer's "Missionaries to the Pre-Born" which can be viewed from the page.

Let me know if you have any additional resources to catalog. I will be glad to add them.

You can also get a complete listing of all the media files referenced by clicking http://www.singingfish.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?query=orthotracts

Enjoy
