How do I stop the emails arriving whenever someone makes a post to a topic?

Click the Profile tab on the top, then on the left you will see a "Notifications and Email" link. Click that, and you will see the options.

So, has anyone started getting emails informing of replies to your posts, even though you have that option NOT selected in your profile?

For some reason my mailbox began filling up yesterday with these notifications.

I haven't changed anything in my profile settings in months!

Any ideas?
