Hello,

I'm attempting to order two books from Romania. Both books have to do with Orthodoxy.

The first books is by Fr. George Ghelesie and is entitled Medicine Hesychasts
The second book is by Andru Vasile and is entitled Psychotherapy Hesychasts.

I tried ordering both books from Liberia Libertas, a publisher in Bucharest.

Any help or advice regarding how to go about obtaining these books would be greatly appreciated.

Jack

Since the two books are in English, may I suggest that you e-mail St. Vladimir's Seminary Bookstore and ask them to order the books for you.  They are probably used to dealing with foreign orders and customs forms.
Then they could forward the books to you.

Or contact the Life and Light Publishering Company and see if they have it in stock.

Hi Irene,

Thanks for your message. Actually, both books are in Romanian. Would St. Vladimir's and Light-n-Life special order foreign language publications?

Hi Augustin,

I sent you a message.

Regards,

Jack

Not sure.  Your best bet is to phone them after Pascha and ask.

You would have to have the correct spealling of the titles in Romanian.

Where are you located?  Maybe you can get in contact with the Patriarchal Cathedral in Chicago. I'll try to make it there the coming week or so and ask.
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Hi ialmisry,

I live in Maryland-in the suburbs right outside of Washington D.C.  Thanks for your offer of help. What's the full name of the Cathedral you mentioned in your post-I want to google it to get a phone number so I can call them.

Regards,

Jack

Hello, Jack.
I am sorry to be answering so late, I just discovered this forum. If you still need help, please contact me. I did a little googleing and this is what I found: the publishing house is Libraria Libertas, the first book and author are "Medicina isihasta" by Ghelasie Gheorghe, this is a link to volume no. 3 http://librarialibertas.ro/carti/6991/medicina-isihasta-vol-3 , the other one is "Psihoterapie isihasta" by Andru Vasile, the link http://librarialibertas.ro/carti/8283/psihoterapie-isihastra .
If anyone needs help, I will check my account periodically.
