Dear folks,
Could you please say a quick prayer for my son-in-law, Ryan, and his wife (my daughter), Maryana. A while ago, Ryan quit his prestigeous and well-paid job of an attorney at law, being under spell of his wife (my daughter), who had been admitted to a Ph.D. program at Harvard. Ryan spent a year applying for various Ph.D. programs, and finally received a letter of acceptance from the UC Berkeley. After another difficult (for my wife and me) two months of doubts, he accepted. The kids will probably move to the Bay Area in a couple of months. Maryana is now "ABD" ("All But Disertation"), so it really does not matter for her where to live.
