Maybe you all could explain all this "take back the GOA" stuff.
What do you mean?
It's too liberal? Too Greek?
What?
Then maybe you could explain how you are taking it back.

Yes, Capt'n Roberto, I, too, am curious. I was under the impression that the three celebrants above are not (yet) Orthodox. Has the GOA gone into 'communion' elsewhere under your inspired influence? Demetri

It is a joke that started when I was talking to somebody about politics and Orthodoxy and Howard Dean came up. Since I was talking about being annoyed by organs, pews and other GOA type things....somehow "Take back the GOA!" was born.

A cartoon with a very young Hispanic girl Dora and her monkey buddy/side kick Boots.
Its kinda bi-lingual also that is Spanish & English.
My 2- 3yr old grandaughters love them.
When they accomplish a goal they sing We Did It !!!

There have been some strange threads here, but this has got to be one of the strangest.
I sure wish I could "take back" a lot of the things I have done.

Strange THIS IS SERIOUS BUSSINESS!!! We are taking back the GOA! When you do, could you get them to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in English? In that case there's a church just 30 minutes up the road that I could attend instead of driving the over an hour one way that I do now.

My Hellenic side died with the 300 Spartans in the pass at Thermopylae. I would like to learn koine Greek, however, so that I can read the NT and the Septuagint (as well as the Greek Fathers) in the original.

Liturgy is in Koine, so once you learn that you are good to go at the Greek parish.
