Akathist to the Theotokos
« on: March 11, 2010, 03:27:39 PM »
I have been reading this aloud at night from time to time, but I would really like to know how to sing it.  Can anyone provide me with a link to an mp3 that would show me how to sing the akathist rather than just reading it?

I'm sure their are Byzantine and Slavic ways, but honestly Slavic would probably be for the best as my Midwestern American accented English probably can't handle all of the elaborate, wailing tails that accompany every note.  What is that called, anyway?
