Gold Stars

Could one of the Illustrious and Venerable Admins explain the gold stars in the signature block? I've been trying to figure out why I have them and others do/don't.

Joking aside, it's post-based. The more you post, the more stars you get. The system rewards quantity over quality. Our POM feature tries to offset that
