A lapsed Roman Catholic, I spent time as a catechumen in the Antiochian Archdiocese, but ultimately left the catechumenate. But being very discouraged with - among other things - current Roman liturgical practices, I am reconsidering Orthodoxy. I have also considered the SSPX, but it appears to be very cultish to me, and some theological issues would remain. Having moved recently, the nearest Orthodox parish is OCA, and I met with the priest for a somewhat lengthy discussion, as well as attending Matins (it has been quite awhile!).
