Please pray for the safety of us who appear in the path of yet another winter monster-storm that is predicted for the US from the mid-Atlantic into Central New York and New England. They are predicting hurricane force winds on top of heavy wet snow. May the Theotokos protect us and keep us safe with her Holy Mantle. Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy. Ok, to be honest, I am struggling with this a bit, a large part of me is jealous of all the snow you all are getting. I don't want anyone to get hurt, but I do love the snow.

Due to the storm, my parish cancelled its weekly Lenten pirohi sale for the first time in memory. (At least 46 years!) While the loss of revenue is really significant (about $10,000 US), the possibility of an accident or serious injury to workers or customers far outweighed any lost revenue. God will provide. May all fare well through the night. It has really been really snowing heavily the past two hours in upstate NY. Lord, have mercy.

I hope my Prof decides to cancel class tomorrow. I hope all will be safe during the storm.
