This thread was split from the following discussion:

Mississippians Go to Church the Most; Vermonters, the Least

Nine of the top 10 states in church attendance are in the South; ...

Ain't no surprises there.  Wink  As far as Vermonters going the least?  My guess is that any state that legalizes homosexual marriage probably doesn't think too much about going to church.
Violation of the moratorium on discussion of homosexuality.

You mean like Iowa?

Or like South Africa?

What about all the church denominations that are now endorsing same sex marriages?

My guess is that you're just being a bigot rather than a seeker of truth.

Violation of the moratorium on discussion of homosexuality.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

1). This discussion ought to be moved into the politics thread.

2). As for Iowa, there was no vote taken on whether the state should legalize it. Instead, the state supreme court legalized it for us, since its members are soooooo much smarter than the rest of the general voting public.

You're painting with a very broad brush, Gabriel.

... Southerners are the anointed of God and so much more rightouse then the evil Northeasterners and their wicked, big city ways.

 No sense in pointing out the obvious. Wink BTW, the South has plenty of big cities.  Seems as though some of your bias is rearing it's ugly head, hmm?  Just kidding you a little, bubba.  In all actuality, I believe these polls, though intended to be value-neutral, are always interpreted with some bias.  And I tend to agree with GiC's assessment- it'll be used to show us Southerners as religious nut-cases.

 And I apologize for offending our homosexuals here.  Where I'm from, homosexual's tend not to go to church so I guess I was working within my own limited knowledge.
