My good friend Julie(fiancee of one of my closest friends) is going through a rough time right now. Her father Jack is in the final stages of Lou Gherig's disease, and in the past six months has gone from running a construction business to having someone push in on his stomach so he can cough. He isn't expected to make it through spring. Both are very active Roman Catholics and are having trouble getting their parish priest to come visit as he is new and doesn't know the family. Please keep Jack, Julie, and the rest of the family in your prayers.

Prayers + forth coming for Jack & Julie, and may Lord comfort them during this difficult time.

This is sad
I know someone who suffered with this devastating malady for many many years.
Many prayers for Jack , Julie and all their family.
Also for all those who suffer from this terrible scourge

Oh, also, I forgot to mention that Julie has left her job and is now her dad's 24/7 caretaker, except for the 4 hours a day she is in class at the local university. It is an incredibly difficult time for her.

As an update, Jack died on Saturday at 3pm. Thank you for your prayers, and I would ask for your prayers for his soul. Also, I would appreciate prayers for his daughter Julie, as well as the rest of the family. Thank you.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
