Lord, have mercy on the Christians in Mosul!

I find the Spell Checker extremely difficult to use with the current Lenten purple background.  The word highlighter works very well at illuminating the black text, but the dark background makes all the surrounding, unhighlighted text almost impossible to read.  For me, this is very important, since I quite often judge whether a word is spelled as I intended by the context within which I'm using the word.  If I can't read the surrounding words, I lose all sense of context.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, everyone is having this problem (Mike mentioned it).

I have to find in the template where that happens.

Yes, I've noticed an increase in spelling mistakes such as dropping the "u" from "colour", "favour", "neighbour" as well as the "O" from "Oecumenical". Wink

If you use Google Chrome, it automatically spell-checks everything you type and uses a red squiggly line to indicate which word is mis-spelled. I love it!

My firefox does that too. Not sure if it was a plugin I installed or it just does it.

My Firefox does, as well, but I still prefer to double-check with the spell checker.  I guess that's just the perfectionist in me.  (Yes, I once proofread a photocopy. Tongue)

That's weird. My avatar isn't showing for some reason. You mean you guys can see it but I can't? All I have is a little X that does nothing when I click on it.

 Huh

Yeah, that's weird.  I can see your avatar, but you can't.  Maybe it's the difference in browser?  I have Safari.

In the last couple of weeks I also had the experience of not being able to see my avatar.  Like you, I only saw an x, where St. Hripsime is supposed to be.  I don't know what caused it.  I fixed it by recopying the image's address from the website I got it from and pasting it where it says "I have my own pic," in my "forum profile."  You may want to do the same.

Is anyone else having a problem with their avatar?

Everyone has probably already seen this, but I'll link it anyway:

It's the directions on how to set your avatar.
