Mary Evelyn is the sweetest little girl, with a heart and faith that illuminates our parish. She was diagnosed several years ago with neuroblastoma and has had two years in remission. I want to tell you right away that Mary Evelyn has just passed away about 20 minutes ago….I want you to know right away so you can pray for her soul. Please do not try to contact the (name withheld by me), just keep them in your prayers. I have a lot to say about her passing and we will do that on Sunday in the Sermon.

Our dear little angel Mary Evelyn's funeral was yesterday. This may sound weird, but it was the most uplifting and inspiring thing that I have ever experienced. The church was packed - it was literally standing room only with all the people who had loved her and prayed for her. Father Jacob's sermon/eulogy was truly grace-filled and inspired. He called us "Mary Evelyn's Army."
May her memory be eternal!
