For a quick and peaceful death
« on: January 27, 2010, 10:44:45 AM »
I have read that they are stopping the search and rescues in Haiti, and I wish to say a prayer for those still alive and trapped beneath the rubble. I pray for a quick and peaceful death for those still hoping and praying to be unearthed who might not be rescued in time.

May God grant them the courage and the peace to face what they need to face!

God, be compassionate on your children! :(

Lord have mercy!

I saw that they just rescued someone yesterday.
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

They have also been my thoughts.  I cannot even imagine what the mind goes through in such a situation.

God, please grant them a speedy rescue, or a quick and peaceful end.

Lord, have mercy!

Lord, have mercy on all those suffering - grant them rest where the Saints repose.

Peace to the living that struggle. May He reward them well. Lord, have mercy.

God, be compassionate on your children! :(

Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleans away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Sometimes quick deaths are not good for the soul, and for salvation.

But we shall rather pray for patience and peace for them.

Phil. 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Matt. 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matt. 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

2Cor. 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Philem. 25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Lord have mercy on those who did not survive, and on the families that suffered loss.
