Thanks to the generosity of Fr. Deacon Matthew, owner of Orthodox Internet Services, our provider, our monthly bandwidth has been increased to accomodate our ever-increasing amounts of traffic.

What would you guys think about instead of just soliciting for a donation, maybe having a "Premium Membership" I've seen other forums do that for support, and it seems to work okay. It is usually something like $30/year or $60 for a lifetime membership. The benefits vary according to forum but a few of them are: 1. Larger avatars 2. More PM space 3. Mail forwarding. Could setup an account like brmax@oc.net or toms@oc.net to list on your profile, and when someone sends a mail to that, it would go to your regular email address. 4. No ads(which since we don't have any wouldn't be a feature for us! ) 5. A Premium Member's only forum. Bad idea? Good idea? Any feedback would be helpful. |

Okay...glad to see there is some support. We're also looking into setting up an Amazon.com affiliate system. Once we get that set up, if the users would click on that when they buy items at Amazon.com that would help out a lot...we'd get 10% of whatever is bought.
Anastasios is still away...we need to wait until he gets back so all of the admins can make a decision together.

Heh. Yeah, and that'll be a really easy way to raise money for the site. All you'd have to do is click on the link at the top of the page and start shopping. I'm also going to add links to all the books(cds, dvds) mentioned in the review forum once I get a go ahead from the others. It won't be a banner add or anything...just probably a small button at the top that says Amazon.com
