Lord have mercy!
Let me add, though, what do you mean by "have enough to get married?" Enough for the wedding? Beware: my stepsister's engagement was 5 years during which time they saved money. They blew I don't know 30? 40? 50? thousand (this was 20 years ago), and the marriage lasted less than a year.
Do you mean until you have enough to be settled? Like have kids when you can afford them? As a general rule of thumb, if you wait until you can afford kids, you will never have them.

I will pray for you in your situation, I hope things go well.
If it means anything, my wife and I got married on a budget of about $1000, which we were able to do with a few additional gifts from people (e.g. her Uncle and Aunt, who owned a chinese restaurant, catered the reception as a wedding gift). We did the dress, rings, etc. all for that amount, and had a traditional wedding service in the Church with a reception afterwards. Of course, only you know what you need and want out of your wedding day, I'm not trying to imply that because we took one path, that others should necessarily do the same.

Lord, have mercy!
I'm sure there must be some way you could have a very simple, modest wedding. I know other Orthodox couples who spent very little money on their wedding. One girl spent $20 on her wedding dress and she bought a tiara at a dollar store and embellished it. Her godparents paid for the meal as their wedding gift. I wasn't at the wedding, but saw pictures, and it was as lovely and glorious as any wedding. They have a very happy marriage, which is really what's important anyhow.

Congratulations on your engagement!
My partner and I are getting married in the Orthodox Church this August (DV), and we've found that really it does not take much money at all. The only essential costs, for us, are flying his parents over here and giving some money to the church we're being married in. They would have married us for free, but the parish is not rich and we want to give some money. It really isn't as costly as perhaps a civil service might be, where I understand it can cost to book a room and an officiant. You may find your priest would not charge you for a wedding too, if you explain to him that money is tight?
Also, it's not necessary to buy special clothes if you don't have the money. We have been told that sensible, modest dress is fine, no need to buy a special white dress!

Lord Have Mercy! We had to do this when we converted and it can be done beautifully with a few creative friends or loved ones. Ordered my own flowers, just a few mind you, from Ecuador then had a friend arrange them as her gift. I made my own crowns and I got my dress from a shop going out of business online, but Ebay has their wedding boutique ''discards'' for sale that no one has ever worn. They are simply last year's style-whatever that means. I find wedding dresses look basically the same year to year, with only minor popular changes. We had a potluck reception in our tiny parish and it was lovely since we weren't used to Greek food! Anyway, for what that's worth-just remember its the marriage that takes all the really hard work!

"Lord have mercy." I agree with Ialmisry. My wife and I eloped. We were not Orthodox at the time, but we recited our own vows to each other which were full of Scripture and prayer. Although we are legally married, we hope to soon have an Orthodox wedding at our EOTC Church so that we can have our marriage officially blessed in the ecclesiastical manner. Satan hates marriage, so he will try to use the material and monetary standards of this world as an obstacle to your holy union. Don't give in to him. Get married if you feel led by God to do so! Don't worry about what others think. Of course, I would advise you to consult your priest. I'm sure he would be willing to accomodate a simple and inexpensive ceremony for you. Selam
