I've seen many statements about "Greek-Ethiopian Orthodox Union", common roots, "from Addis Abeba to Addis Athena" and similar. What are they? How did they appear?

Well, I'd sure be interested to learn more about this topic. I'm Ethiopian Orthodox, but my family and I attend Father Chris's Greek Orthodox Church here since our EOTC Church is 7 hours away.
