The only biography of St. John that I've read was in the book The Lives of the Three Holy Hierarchs by Holy Apostles Convent. Included in the book are also biographies of Sts. Basil the Great and Gregory the Theologian, though the section on St. John is by far the longest (it seems to be about 180 pages).
