Uh... Hello, I'm Nick, kinda new to this forum.
Okay, I know the whole forum thing, so who are all of the regulars here? What are your names? Religions/Belief-Systems? Hobbies? Likes? Dislikes? Occupation(s)? Agenda(s) (reason(s) why you are on this forum)?
My name is Nick, I am an aspiring theologian in high-school. I am a Russian Orthodox Christian since I was young. I am going to a Catholic-private high-school. I do not like snob-ism, and I see it every day at my high school. I do not like "militants with negative agendas". I am the 153rd best Halo 3 player in the world, and the 23rd best Halo 3 Forger (map-maker/designer) in the world. I want to become a priest/theologian/teacher/professor when I get my degrees. I do not like people who look down on my intelligence because of my age. I do not like hateful people. I like logic, and anti-logic. I like reading theology and discussing alternate/opposing beliefs. I (try to) love my enemies and neighbors. (I accidentally fell IN love with an enemy once). People get annoyed with me when I talk about religion. I have a good sense of humor. I do not tolerate hypocrites. I am sometimes nocturnal. Cake > Pie I'm on this forum because of three reasons: 1. I like helping people. 2. I sometimes have theological concepts that I would like to discuss, but my age-group isn't interested in religion... 3. The first result on Google's server was down. (God works in mysterious ways...) And whats odd is that I think this is the forum that my mom is on as well.

Welcome Nick! It's rare that anyone wants to join the clergy these days, and even rarer that a youngin' like yourself wants to be a priest. I have a great deal of respect for those who want to enter that... calling, I suppose, whether Catholic/Orthodox/Protestant... because no one does that for the money (and anyone who does is guilty of simony ). Also because of the Biblical truth that "man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Becoming a priest is not something to be entered into lightly. For better or worse, as a Christian and even moreso as clergy, you are a symbol of Christ to the world--such that if you are a light, they may see the light of God. But if you act as unwise or evil, the will see no value in your faith. So I can understand your hatred of hypocrites.

Welcome Nick!
You will find that there is a good group of people on this site, and we all do our best to keep things in check and to provide good quality discussion about all kinds of topics.
Also, there are several of us on the site who have graduated from seminaries (me being one of them), and a handful of priests and deacons from different jurisdictions (across the orthodox spectrum). Feel free to ask whatever you want, but also spend some time searching for your topic, as it may have been discussed before and we tend to rehash certain things all the time.
Enjoy the discussion!

Howdy, and welcome to the forum.
I'm not as regular around here as I used to be, but I'm around fairly often. I'm a current seminarian, so I'm another one you can ask about such things.
