Could you please pray that I feel better.
I went to the doctor about my back problem, and he ended up prescribing me a trycylic antidepressant for pain management (which I'm not taking). His idea is pretty much for me to take pain meds until I die. The back is still a daily problem, and I'm hoping for some help here.
Also, I've developed a really sore throat and feel dizzy right now, too. I think I might be developing a bad cold.
Thank you for your prayers.

Lord have mercy. If you choose not to take the medication your doctor prescribes, then let them know that you are not taking it.

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.

Lord, have mercy on your servant.
So sorry to hear of your pain, StGeorge. That's good advice from ozgeorge, though.

I don't mean to nag, but I agree with Ozgeorge. Also, get your throat swabbed, in case it's strep.

If you are in Western PA I'd recommend going to see someone at the Cleveland Clinic for your back pain. If you are in Eastern PA I'd recommend going to see someone at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC. I can recommend doctors at both facilities if you PM me.

Thank you for your prayers.
Yeah, I'll have to tell the doctor. I have to call up on Monday in any case.

Excellent, br. StGeorge! Innocent as a dove and wise as a snake! The startzi seldom obeyed the "doctors", especially when it's preferable to drink conium, like Socrates. Elder Porphyrios, in particular, knew(from outer -he taught doctors and performed charismatic diagnoses- and inner information), that the drugs(not herbs) are poisons, and the more they "cure" the more they harm! The greek word "pharmacon" informs us this, as well... Holy Trinity, watch over your beloved child St.George, so that the pain of his body fades away quickly and so that he's not suffering. Illumine your children and reinforce their organism in Your unique way...... St. George, there is a special sacrament that we use to heal our body in Church described in New Testament. It's called "euchelaion" in greek. You might want to attend it someday soon, I suppose. Oh, and don't forget someone who specialises in healing...! : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Pantaleon

Hope you get better, StGeorge! Could you try Pilates to strengthen your back? I was not aware of Pilates, but I looked it up online, and I wonder if it would help me. Is it different from physical therapy?
