St. Thomas Syriac Orthodox Church and St. George Chaldean Church in Mosul were attacked this morning on 23-Dec-2009, by car bomb explosions, just days before Christmas. The two churches hit are two old buildings of great historical and cultural value.  In the attack on the church of Saint George three people were killed: a Christian and two Muslims, many others were injured.

Just a few days ago on 16-Dec-2009 two other churches were attached.
